Catering...Our Experience
Mr Axelrod has been involved in catering...in one form or another....for some 30 years. His experience began with Marriott Corporation as General Manager at The Ohio State University and General Manager at the then newly buily George Mason University Patriot Center in Northern Virginia. When he moved back to Cleveland in 1988 He openned up the CSU Convocation Center (Now called the Wolstein Center) He was General Manager of that facility for 9 years. In that capacity he catered for many University luminaries, including the University President's private residence. During the same period he supervised catering at The City Club account and Third Federal Savings operation center. He also privately catered for many performing artists who played at the Convocation Center. He also assisted his family at the Cleveland National Air Show with business chalets. Around 1999 he openned up his own restaurant (Pizza House) and continued to cater many private functions and residences. When asked about some of the exciting people he's worked with, He recalls catering for then President Bill Clinton and VP Al Gore in their 1994 trip to CSU." I asked President Clinton to sign a Cleveland Indians poster for me" (He threw out the pitch on Openning Day at the then new Jacobs Field)" He couldn't have been kinder in accomodating the request"
